Oil executives, corporations, the 1% have successfully organized to create the world we live in -- with campaigns, agendas and the building of power. If we are to win an El Paso with clean air, clean water and community control of our resources, we must build power. We build power by creating an organization with thousands of dues-paying members who can determine the conditions of their own lives.

HOW IT WORKS

We are launching a dues-paying membership system to form a strong, disciplined, transformative movement. Amanecer membership is open to everyone. What it means to become a Member of Amanecer People's Project:

  • Members make commitment to win the goals of social and environmental justice

  • Members attend monthly meetings, participate in organization-wide mobilizations, and more.

  • Members determine the direction of the organization–what issues to pursue and what campaigns to execute.

  • Members contribute to monthly dues based on a sliding scale.

DUES PAYING SLIDING SCALE —

Youth, student, or working class: $5 monthly

Middle or upper income: $15 monthly
